Pure Bluegrass Sweetness from Sweden…

Magnus

”- Harmony Hill started out as a reason to eat cheese and drink wine”.

If you play bluegrass in Sweden, you are among friends. Literally, most bluegrassbands in this country know each other from the scene. It is not a huge scene in the cold north.

However, Harmony Hill is a westcoast based band consisting of Michael Hansson (Quarterhorse), Sofia Assarson, Alva Engström,Pelle Hedblom and Kristofer Åhsberg. The band started playing at a yearly BBQ with friends, but  are now expanding their world into larger venues.

The first gig, under the name Harmony Hill was at the Bluegrass festival Nääsville. They got a heartly welcome. This was not their last festival.

”The Kattunga Cabin Sessions” (below) was recorded in a small cabin in rural country, with just one microphone, taped to a ladder, in front of the fireplace. Genuine as hell. And with that true great Bluegrass feel, all the way.

Listen, and keep an ear out for new stuff coming our way…
